The Community Work course at Luther King offers study of specific community work modules validated by the England Standards Board and and of theological modules offered as part of the weekend or midweek FdA (Foundation Degree) programme.

A significant number of people interested in the strongly verbal discipline of community work have dyslexia.  Staff teaching on this programme are aware of this and adapt their teaching style to suit those in their groups.

Admission

Students may come to us with formal academic experience or the good sense gained from practical experience.  We are able to admit all students who can demonstrate the ability to study the course.  We hold interviews prior to admission to allow students to visit the site and find out more about the course, as well as allowing us to find out more about the applicant.  We admit to the course in September only.

Do remember our Open Day will be held on the afternoon of 19th April 2008 - which will provide a chance to meet tutors and possibly some present students.
