Some areas of library stock have been moved over the Christmas break. Please ask library staff if you can't find what you are looking for. The Reserve Collection has moved from the Periodicals/Study Area into the Main Library (at the end of the Reference Collection, before the main bookstock) and the URC Resource Collection has moved from the storeroom into the Periodicals/Study Area.

We are pleased to announce that the URC Resource Collection, previously kept at the URC Northwest Synod Office, is now held at Luther King House Library.
The collection contains over 800 books, pamphlets, games, activity packs, DVDs and CDs on mission and evangelism, youth and children’s ministry, biblical studies and worship and preaching, including a large amount of training materials specifically for use within the URC.
Much of the material in the collection will also be of interest to youth and children’s workers in other denominations.
There are many benefits to the relocation of this collection:
- For the first time, it is possible to search the collection on an online catalogue
- Improved access – the library is open from 7.30am until 10.30pm six days a week (8am – 8pm on Sunday)
- The presence of the collection at Luther King House Library affirms and strengthens the links between LKH and the URC. It also confirms our commitment to encourage and promote the education and development of the whole church
- The collection will be added to and updated on a regular basis
If you wish to borrow anything from the collection or to use it for reference purposes on a regular basis, you will need to join Luther King House Library as an external member. Rates are very reasonable. Membership is not required for one-off or very occasional use.
